Murthy Renduchintala joined Accenture's board of directors in April 2018. From November 2015 to August 2020, Murthy was chief engineering officer of Intel Corporation and also served as group president of Intel’s Technology, Manufacturing and Systems Architecture Group.
Murthy has deep expertise in digital technologies and has spent a substantial part of his career in the system-on-chip, mobile and IoT areas, progressing through a variety of technical and senior management positions at large global companies. Before joining Intel in 2015, Murthy was executive vice president of Qualcomm Technologies and co-president of Qualcomm CDMA Technologies, where he led the semiconductor business in the computing and mobile segments. He joined Qualcomm in 2004 from Skyworks Solutions, where he was vice president and general manager of the Cellular Systems division. Prior to Skyworks, he spent a decade with Philips Electronics, progressing to become vice president of engineering for its consumer communications business.
Murthy holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, a master's degree in business administration and a Ph.D. in digital communications from the University of Bradford in England. His alma mater subsequently awarded him the honorary degree of Doctor of Technology for his contributions to Science and Technology.
